What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Washington State

My ex tried to mail (via USPS) papers to me that required my signature, what I believe to be a change our current Parenting Plan. He sent these papers when he knew I was out of town and USPS returned them to him before I returned to sign for them. He had mentioned a court date of 10/26 or 10/28, when we were in court last over something else, but I have no idea what this is about since I never received the paperwork from him. So what do I do at this point? We cannot communicate since I have an Order for Protection against him and there is NO communication allowed on his part with me. I don't want the court to award him something if I do not appear - is this something I should be proactive about or let him deal with the fact that I never received any paperwork from him at all? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Call the courthouse and see when the hearing date is and ask to see the particulars.
