I live in Washington State and have been served with a 20/60
summons and complaint from the attorney of the woman who's
car my sister,(she was driving my car and used my ID) hit in 1998. My question is two-fold. First, can the woman sue me for the amount her Insurance company already paid
to have her car fixed? And second, with this summons came a case schedule and it states that a Confirmation of service hearing was scheduled for July 10, 2001. They(the
plaintiff and her attorney) filed on June 12, I was not served with any papers until the 16th of July, was I entitled to be at that hearing and should I have been made aware of this lawsuit sooner than I was?
