Eight years ago my husband and 3 of his friends were messing around with a car that my husbands family owned, however did not drive it sat there. They got the car to start and were driving around in a field, my husband driving. The car obviously was not insured or even liscensed and they ran into a fence. One individual was hurt and their auto insurance was suing my husband personally. They handed everything over to a lawyer and nothing was heard about it until 8 years later, we received a letter stating that he is being suid for so much plus interest from the time of the suit. What are our options?
