I was never given a check-in at this apartment and they are now suing me for things I don't think I should be responsible for. When I moved in the kitchen countertop was VERY wobbly/broken, the refrigerator door was damaged, before I moved out the water heater broke and had to be replaced. Now they want:

Replace appliances throughout $1192.15
Replace kitchen counter top 366.00

Plus "double Damages for intentional vandalism"
Cleaning/repairs/maintenance $4320.84
Painting $2238.38
Carpet/vinyl replacement $2422.70

They want to take me to small claims court.
What should I do? Thanks for your advice!
