I live in Oregon!
I have a neighbor who has constantly asked me to trim my tree back (tree is on my property, limbs are on hers). I have done so 2-3 times in the last 12-18 months. She wants me to cut off all the limbs on her side of the tree, which I won't do. She states that the tree is dropping something on her Corvette that costs her 125.00 to get cleaned (the minivan parked closest to the tree oddly not affected and neither are the cars parked on my side). I had the tree sprayed last summer and offered to do so again. She hired a tree trimmer to cut off all of the branches up to the property line. I allowed the tree company to come on to my property to do the job properly, even though I did not agree with what she was doing. She is now sueing me for the cost of the tree trimming plus the cost of getting her corvette cleaned twice.
PLEASE Help! Can some one please tell me what law if any, I am covered under to present to the judge to defend myself.
