To make it brief to start off with - what are the rights of an execurot with regard to a benficiaries inheritance? Can an executor place the benficiaries money into property? Can they then withhold the moeny a year after the money was due? Also, if someone sues the estate and gets money from the estate can the executor then state that the beneficiaries inheritance has changed i.e. less money even though the courts papers state differently??

I look forward to hearing from you

Thank you

The estate's debts must be paid before the remainder can be distributed to the heirs. The heirs can only get what's left, even if it's less than what was named in the will. If there's nothing left after debts are paid, the heirs get nothing. The will cannot give away what no longer remains in the estate.
