What is the name of your state?
Name of state is California.

Question is: The beneficiary of a Life Insurance has died. Upon the death of the Insured, what happens to this policy if the beneficiary (now deceased) left no will or alternate beneficiary?

My response:

Easy.

The money goes to the Estate of the deceased beneficiary, and is divided amongst the deceased heirs pursuant to Statute.

So what does the insurance company intend to do about this?

The heirs will need to hire a probate attorney to open up an intestate probate proceeding for the decedent's estate if no one else has done so.
