Beneficiary of Life Insurance

What is the name of your state? DE

My Mom lived in PA, and she is now deceased *bless her soul*

I am now administrator of the Estate, but I recieved her life insurance benefits as beneficiary.

How does this impact my income/taxes, or does this count as like inheritance?

I am confused because I would rather put the money in the Estate account which at the end will be divided between 2 sisters and I.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
