What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas
My 15 year old daughter is out of control. She focuses only on what she wants Right Now with no regard to consequences. Her mother and I (divorced) have tried restrictions, but her behavior continues to decline. We believe that she should have therapy to try to define the root cause of her behavior, and then begin to treat it. My daughter refuses to go to a therapist, and has threatened to run away if we try to make her go. The only option that we are left with is court ordered counseling, but we are not sure if this is possible or what the steps are.

No legal advice, but you could take away her cell phone, tv and other niceties and make her earn them back.

Or put her in residential treatment if she's endangering herself or others.
