I want to make sure no one else can steal my logo and or slogans. I have looked on uspto.gov, but find it very confusing. could anyone who has done this before give me the lowdown on cost and procedure. Also, I have aspirations of making this company big, but is it smart to do right now with a company that is just starting out?

Trademark, not Copyright

You should be trying to register your trademark, (logos, slogans), not a copyright. While there may be some artistic elements of your logo that qualify for a copyright as well, the real protection it seems you want is how to register a trademark. There are online filing services available if you want to register. Can you show me a copy of the logo?- (slogan probably only copyrightable).

Logo's are subject to trademark, not copyright.
Depending on content, "slogans" MIGHT be trademark or copyright.

Cost: Could be anything from cheap to expensive.... depending on whether you do it yourself or hire a professional.
Procedure: There are LOTS of online sources that clearly explain the entire process.

HUH?? How does the size of a business have to do with copyright or trademark??
And what do you mean by "is it smart to do right now"? Smart to do what??
