Hi, I've been separated since June 1998 and filed for divorce in Jan.1999. I'm in PA, my spouse has moved to FL and bought a house with his girlfriend. He will not cooperate to finish the divorce. He won't be reasonable about the assests, so we can't agree on a settlement. Since I filed over 2 years ago, I have been told that I could go to the court and ask for a bifurcated divorce, which will give me the divorce that I want but set asside the financial issues until later. I can't afford to keep dragging him to court and the financial stuff waiting won't hurt me as far as I know. Has anyone out there gone this route? Any advise ? I can't find much info. about this type of divorce so any pro/cons or advise would be helpful, thanks.
