Is there any statute of limitations to settling financials for a "bifurcate" divorce in Utah? I had good reason for bifurcation which was final 4/99. I have moved out of Utah and I have not pursued resolution and would like to know if he does not pursue resolution (he owes me money) if this issue ever dies.
My response:
What kind of debts are these; e.g., credit card, rent, bank loans, etc. ? Are they written debts, or oral promises to pay ? When were the debts incurred or when the last payment was made (I need exact dates) ?
Like any creditor, your right to claim damages for owed debts is controlled by various statutes of limitation periods.
So, tell me the answer to my questions, and I'll try to help you.
