I live in Maryland. My business filed for bankruptcy in January 2018. I put all of our personal money into the business trying to save it without my spouse knowing. Was hoping it would get better but having a business in Baltimore City crushed me. I filed for personal bankruptcy at the end of May. All of this had lead to my wife and I heading to divorce. We really just have the house and a few small investments. We also have a 7 year old. Any suggestions on how to handle the situation?

Your question, as posed, is way too broad in scope. Is there a particular aspect of the divorce process you have a question about?

She did know that some money was being used to carry the business and we used some of her investments. She was not aware that my investments were also used.
Like the other poster said...you may be paying her back for wasted marital assets for a long time to come.

Again, your question is way too broad. It's kind of like asking "I want to buy a new vehicle, what is the best vehicle for my purposes?" It is too broad. Your best bet is to seek the assistance of an attorney because a web site is not going to walk you through the entire process.
