What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state?I live in Montreal, Canada-I purchased a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am GT near the end of May 2004. To make a long story short, the car is equipped with ABS, and ETS(enhanced traction control) in May,(the summer) neither was really needed so to me the car was driving normally. The first snow, approx. 4 months later when I tried the Anti Lock Brakes/ETS,both running on the same system, I found out neither worked. I had no choice but to have it looked at by the pros at the dealer. They quickly found the problem witch was the sensors in the front bearings. There were no warning lights to inform me of the problem because the LED to the warning lights was unsaudered(that is stated on the work order from the tech. who worked on my car.) There was only a 1 month warrenty on the car, but like I said, I thought the car was perfect.When I first bought the car, the flashers would not return once the steering wheel was turned, and then turned.The dealer had my car for 2 days trying to fix the prob. They couldn't. It took the dealer .15 min. to repair. The total bill for repairs was $1,362.00.They refuse to pay me back The tech. at the dealer also told me that the unsaudering of the LED was done intentionly, but he can't accuse anyone, but we expect that it was the dealer where I bought the car from. Not only is it dangerous not knowing if the system is working properly by seeing a warning light, but, I would think it is very misleading!(purposly done!)I now want/Have to bring them to small claims court.What should I do?? There are so many other things I can complain about what else happened, but like I said, I would make it short.Can someone please help?
