Married in NY, moved to Atlanta six months later. Found out one year later spouse was already married in NY. How quickly can I file for divorce and where would I file living in Atlanta?

Thank you

My response:

Tell me, do you plan on doing this yourself ? Also, if you plan on doing this yourself, tell me what YOU believe is involved, from a procedural standpoint, in an action for divorce.

If you are doing this yourself, what is your legal background ? Tell me what you think are some of the problems you could encounter in doing this yourself.

I am studying Paralegal at this time. I am sure of NY law and that the marriage is not void, I am not just sure about GA. And also should it be filed here or GA because that is now where I reside for the past four years. And yes I would like to do this on my own since there are no children ot property involved.
