Virginia I need some advice i have been married to a man for 14 years we separated about 1 year ago now he says that he was still married to his first wife when he married me. I am really confused about this do i have any rights at all.he says that he went to a lawyer and he told him that we have to get an annullment because by law we are married. we were married in the state of texas but have lived in virginia for the last 12 years.his lawyer said that until we got our marriaged annulled neither one of us could get remarried. we had no children in our marriage, but some how i feel like i have been cheated out of 14 years of my life. now that he has decided to start a life with a new woman by law is there anything ican do and if so what would happen to him he is from mexico and has his green card but that came from his first wife.any advice at all would be helpful and do i need alawyer

1. Get your own attorney
2. File a police report

Just walk in and ask to file a report on a man who has commited bigamy.

Personally, I would advise you just get an annulment and be done with it..
