What is the name of your state? Maine

About a year ago I dropped out of college a few weeks into the semester. I had received student loans, grants, and scholarships. My student loan is currently in deferrment.

A few weeks after I dropped I started receiving a bill from the Univeristy for $1,000. I was dead broke and never contacted them. They turned it over to a collection agency, who eventually contacted me by phone.

I offerred to make payments on the debt, but the collection agency insisted on the full amount, which I do not have and can't borrow.

After repeated phone harassment I asked them to stop calling me, and was told that they only have to stop for a week and then can start calling again.:(

Is it too late to contact the University with payment arrangements? What should I do?:confused:What is the name of your state?
