What is the name of your state?

I live in Arizona.

We are purchasing a mobile home from an individual who owns it free and clear. What type of bill of sale should we collect from him and where can we get one. Do we need to file with any state or county offices?

It will be like a car title if not attached to permanent foundation.

Get a bill of sale completed and notarized. Make sure it has a clause like "free and clear from any liens or encumberances".......if it doesn't I suggest you get a lawyer to complete the Bill of Sale for you.

Unlike real property, mobile homes can have multiple titles that may not have been filed with the state.

You might seek a car title search company in your city. They will be able to obtain the most recent title filed with the state.
