What is the name of your state?
Missouri

A developer has bought the property next to my house and want to relocate a billboard to that parcel from its current location to clear the way for development. What are my options for fighting this? It will definitly ugly up the backyard view quite a bit and although there is an arterial road two parcels away, this large lighted sign will disturb the wooded setting of our backyard.

Any ideas? We are trying to pursuade the local governement to see it our way, but I would like to prepare plans B-Z at this point as the size of the development in question may sway their opinion against me.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Survery says that I live next door to the parcel they bought. I don't have any issue witht he ownership, just their plans to develop.

I have yet to contact an attorney. I was wondering if a nyone knew of any way to fight a billboard maybe on the grounds of diminished property value or enjoyment, etc.

If they have a legal right to develop, then you have a hopeless cause.
