I had to cancel a doctor's appointment 3 hours before the appointed time. I explained whay but was told I would be charged for the visit even though I did not keep the appointment. There is a sign in the office that says you will be charged for the appointment if you give them less than 24 hours notice. Is this legal? I did not get any service so how can I be charged? Isn't this just a threat to scare people?
