We own a gift shop and had requested a local sign company to give us a quote to make signs(3) with our store name and logo.
Before we approved anything, the signs were made and hung. (This sign company has done work previously for our landlord) The signs were not to our liking and were more than we were planning on spending.
When we refused to pay our bill, the sign company threatened to remove the signs. We took them up on their offer and gave them a date to have them removed or we would have them removed by our current sign company. When they recieved this notice they called and said they would only charge us what they said they intially would + tax.($120 less) We told them we would consider. The same day the called back and said they were taking us to court for the original invoice.
What can we do?
