I live in Alabama and I was wondering when one tries to take care of a bill that the other filed bankruptcy on can a place like Marvins charge the one that didn't file 12% interest when she tried to take care of it when it first happened and Marvins said she couldn't until the other one came out of bankruptcy?
thanks.

As long as the other person has not filed bankruptcy, they are still responsible for the bill.
