I live in the state of Ohio but have never been married to the father of my little girl. He is threatening to go to the courts and have her taken away from me and never let me see her again because i will not allow our 16 month old daughter go to his home because of the female who is living in his home. This other female had her own daughter taken away from her about 7 years ago, she is jealous of the daughter that we have together and has gone as far as changing the phone number when our daughter was hospitalized so that I could not get a hold of the father. He threw us out back in october 2000, since then we have lived several places and now we are in a stable place where he can not find us or get in contact with us. I would like to know what rights I have as her bio-mother and if he can do anything at all to us. Please help me!!!

You NEED to file for proper court ordered custody. Until that time, he will continue to threaten and this will hang over your head for a long time. He does have a right to have a relationship with the child though. However, when it comes to working out court ordered visitation, you will be able to bring up the history of this other women and it will effect the fathers visitation.
