Need some advice on custody in Indiana? We have a custody order from Florida and the child's grandmother got an order in Florida also by frauding the courts. Now she has taken the child and gone to Indiana. The Judge stated she had committed fraud but he cannot help bring the child back. I need to know if the state of Indiana will uphold the Fl. order if we can find them and take the law with us to pick the child up. The child, mother or father has never been a resident of Indiana. We are in the process of trying to locate an address for the child but are understanding that the grandmother is staying in motels. Any information would be great. Also any sites with Indiana custody laws might help.

You need to get a "Writ of Assistance" ordered by the Florida court for the return of the child.

Then you can use that to get Indiana law enforcement involved.

First, though, you must be able to help locate them. You can't get the child back if you have no idea where the child is.
