Tennesse, We have black mold in the house and our ins says there is nothing they can do, but my husband spent three months in the hospiral and while he was there we had a water leak, well we had it fixed but my husband has lung problems and has no eosphugus right now, plus I have lung problems and I have lupus but yet thr mortage company wants us to keep paying the payments even though we can not live in the house

Does your insurance exclude mold?

If so, then your insurance is under no obligation in the first place.

Of course you have to keep paying...that's what y'all agreed to when you took out the mortgage. Furthermore, you ALSO agreed to maintain the property.

It might be time to consult with a bankruptcy attorney...
