what is your state?
florida

i purchased i a car from a buy here pay here lot in which i have payments on it. they also sold me a 3 month 3,000 mile warranty that would coer it. now a month and a half ago the engine blew, the temperature gauge didn't work properly so i didn't know the car was over heating. i called the warranty company and they stated they didnt have a warrany on my car. the dealership first stated they would handle the repairs until they found out how costly they would be. what if any legal recourse could i have against them?

What kind of proof do you have that you purchased the warranty? Does the dealership you purchased it from show you have it?

The Attorney General of my state recently slammed many used car dealers for the practice that happened to you. Charge customers for an extended warranty and pocket the money instead of purchasing a warranty for the vehicle. They are gambling the warranty will not be needed. If you have proof that you paid for the warranty, sue the dealer for the cost to have the engine fixed or replaced.
