What is the name of your state?Maryland
Children: 2 kids
Sole Legal Custody: Father
Joint Physical Custody
Both parties are generally charged with the support of their children and each party is responsible for their own childcare expenses. (no child support is paid)

My question: How should father of children handle this situation? Since both children carry rights and responsibilities it is fathers standpoint that each parent pay for one child in regards to school supplies and clothes. It is also allowed (in court order) that one parent may claim one child on his/her taxes. However, if one parent renigs on this (the mother) and "claims" she doesn't have enough money to provide school supplies and clothes (because quote" you don't pay child support to me anymore.") what options does father have? Does this then require father to pay for both (along with all other expenses) every year while still allowing mom to claim one on her taxes? Doesn't seem right...anyone have any thoughts?

I am not sure that you have any options where the school supplies are concerned. If you honestly believe that she has the money to easily supply school clothes then you can force her hand by not sending any clothing with the kids when they go to her house....however, if she honestly cannot...then that is just going to punish the kids. You could try filing contempt....but the orders are vague enough that I don't know if that would work.

Plus, if you make significantly more money than she does...it could result in you being ordered to pay some child support.
