How can I protect myself from potential lawsuits when I take my friends boating and waterskiing? So far no one has been hurt but sometimes someone complains of a pain due to a bad spill off the ski or kneeboard. Am I liable for injuries on the way to the lake, at the dock, or on the water?

My response:
You need to have your friends sign a Release of Liability form before they ski.
You are only liable for injuries on the way to the lake, or on the water if you were negligent, or "increased the risk" of injury during sporting activities.
I really wish you had told us your State (See the writing in RED?)
