Body Shop repairs and Custom work Advise

Hi everyone:
I have a question on what to do with regards to a Bodyshop who did some repair-work and custom work on my car. The Shop supposedly specializes with custom work and body work-classic restorations.

Now the problem is, the custom work they did, Carbon-Fiber hood, fiber-glass fenders isn't lining-up with the rest of body. The Bodyshop says they can't fix the problem because the Fenders and hood are from different manufacturers, but the parts are designed for my car. Also, I've already paid for the work.

Here's my question. What course of action would be prudent for me to get the bodyshop to fix the problem or refund the money they've acquired for this custom work?

Just one shop. My verbal agreement was for them to put on a carbon fiber hood and fiber glass fenders, and paint. All parts were purchased through their vendors and painted at that shop. These are also non-OEM Parts and considered Aftermarket.

The way that I see it, parts should have been lined-up for proper alignment as soon as they arrived at the shop; it's known as the test-fitting phase done before paint and sealers are applied. During this phase they should have discovered that the parts weren't lining-up and should have sent back the part before sealing and drilling into it.


I am going to take it to another custom shop to see if the problem can be fixed without replacing the hood.

My problem is, the first shop isn't taking responsibility of owning the problem and fixing it. I am very frustrated with this problem because they took more than six months doing just exterior work, and almost $9,000 for all the work done to the car.
