Hey Folks- New face here with a off the wall question. I'd like to know that if a certain hypothetical person were to write a "how-to" book on beating a standard toxicology screen, can this, strictly hypothetical person be arrested for disclosing this information, providing that the method used was legal. By that I mean that it doesn't use any drugs in the method itself or any other illegal means to meet this end. Also, if a person uses the method outlined in the book and has less than stellar results, can that person bring charges against the author?

Warned you this was off the wall.

My response:

Read your First Amendment to the United States Constitution.

Everything, including Larry Flint, and "How to make a Bomb" type book are protected free speach under the First Amendment.

As long as you are not advocating the overthrow of our Government, inciting to riot, yelling "Fire !" in a crowded theater, pretty much everything else is fair game.

As long as you place a well-written, well-placed disclaimer in your book, then you can't lose a lawsuit.

In short, you have the freedom to write any damn thing you want. Now, your problem will be getting a publisher.

P.S. Your subject matter isn't "off the wall" . . . or unique. You should see the crap they have on this, and every other strange subject, at Barnes & Noble.
