What is the name of your state? VA

I would like to write a book using situations encountered during my daily activities at work- specifically with personnel interactions. I am no longer employed with the company - Do I have any legal obligation toward the company with respect to copyright or royalities should the book be published?

Hell no. Just make up names for the company and the employees or you'll find yourself defending the book in court for so long it would wipe out any royalties.
