What is the name of your state? Ohio

I am publishing a book and refer to several things that may or may not be trademarked names or trade names such as "Saturday Night Live" or "Microsoft" or "Microsoft Excel".

This is a non-fiction work about the computer industry and these references are incidental within the body of the work. I have italicized all such references. Do I have any legal issues with regards to using these names within my book or are these covered under "fair use"?

Thanks for any assitance.
