What is the name of your state? Hawaii
We own a small bed and breakfast resort in Hawaii. A well know travel book included us in their latest edition and wrote some negative comments about us that were not accurate.
Do we have a legal right to advise them to omit our business from their next edition? Chris

My response:

The editor, writer and publisher of the publication have a First Amendment right to publish their "opinion" of your business. You don't have a right to tell them what they can, or cannot, print - - from now until doomsday.

Remember, you have the same right to give your opinion of their "rag" - - if you want to publish your opinion in some sort of flyer, newspaper, or other form of publication.
