General question because I feel frustrated:

I live in Europe (Austria) and I have borrowed my ex over the last two years about 130.000 Euro.

When we got apart, my ex moved to Denmark. In Denmark he needed several times some money. He was starting a business and needed some support and I gave it to him. Sometimes he needed for personal things, etc. So it was manly for help, but he was supposed to give it back.

The money was sent from Austria (My bank account) to his bank account in Denmark.

He doesn't have money anymore, something happened with the whole thing, and now he can't give the money back.
Maybe he gives it back in the next couple of years, or perhaps never.

He was supposed to give me this money back a year ago. He signed a paper I did handwritten, I sent it to him through email, he emailed it back signed.

My ex now moved to Argentina. But nobody warranties that he has got money there.

Since this whole thing happened between Austria and Denmark, I am wondering if it is possible to sue him in Argentina?
I really need my money and want to get it back. He doesn't seem to be doing something about it and perhaps doesn't care much.

Do I have any recourse? I don't have more money available for lawyers, I spent all my savings, perhaps for a trip I could struggle. I am not even good with Spanish.

Thank you in advance for your help and reading.

this is a US based site and US law centered. They used to require a poster to disclose their state when posting a query along with the statement, US law only. Since their recent reformatting, that question seems to not be presented any longer. Sorry but I don't think you will find help here.

I see, thank you.

I just wanted to see if it was possible to get any help on here. As it was more "international" related. I thought any lawyer, even from the U.S could know about these cases (If something like that had happened to someone in the U.S)

there are some here that are somewhat familiar with some international law when the US is involved but since this is two foreign countries (at least to us), the laws could be (and likely are) totally different.

No, our OP deleted it. When a new thread is created, the following is automatically inserted:

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
