borrowed out $700, can't seem to get paid back

Hi, I'm in Mich and I borrowed some "friends" $680.00. I had one of them sign a note stateing I would be repaid, with a witness who also signed the paper. Is it worth going to court, if all their possessions are in someone elses' name? Could I garnish their wages? This was back in August, it's now April, 8 months later. Thanks for all your help and advice.
