My boss here lately thinks what I do or say is the #1 topic of conversation among his friends which tends to get back to my husband (an boy do I get questions from him even though he knows its not possible for these things to have happened)! And the things they say are all untrue and making me very p#$!%&* how can I stop this and if it does not what can I do>?

You can't stop it... as some people take great joy in getting a reaction from others.
The only thing you can do is to remove yourself from that problem by finding another job.
There is no statute that prohibits a boss from being an idiot.
