boss with anger issues

What is the name of your state?oklahoma my husband works for a small business, only 3 employees. His boss seems to have anger management issues. He is constantly yelling at my husband, Tim, he also throws things at him. Then, there is the payday issue. His pay days were on fridays but, that was too much work for the bosses wife to complete.She only has to figure pay for one employee. She changed paydays to tuesdays. But, the passed month, he has had to wait until wednesday or later to get paid. Tim realy likes this job and doesn't want to quit but, he also doesn't like being treated this way. Have any laws been broken? What can we do about this?

No law makes it illegal for a boss to yell at his employees. It may be unprofessional, but it is not illegal.

As far as changing the payroll date, as long as they have now officially made it Tuesdays and are not paying on Tuesdays while allowing the official payday to remain Fridays, that is legal as well. But that means they have to actually pay him on Tuesdays. The problem is that I'm not sure your state DOL is going to consider their paying him one day late to be something worth putting a lot of energy into.

now we found out yesterday 10/20/05 that my husband is not going to get paid at all this week due to slow business. This is a wrecker service that has several large accounts and is on police rotation. It seems like the bosses bills are more important than ours.

As much as your husband likes his job, it sure sounds like it's time for him to start looking elsewhere, where he can get count on being paid regularly.

When IS his employer planning on paying him for the week in question? Oklahoma requires that non-exempt employees be paid no less frequently than twice a month.
