What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? PA

My ex decided when we broke up to file for custody of the kids. That was 2 months ago.. since then we have discussed what should happen with the kids. We came up with an agreement and when she told her lawyer about it the lawyer said we couldn't implement it because the case is in the court system and the judge still hasn't signed off on the conference hearing yet..

We were thinking of dropping the case and making an agreement and having it notarized on Wed but she said to find out if we can actually drop the case 1st before we waste a 2 hr trip to do this.

I told her we can but she wants to make sure.
