What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Missouri
I bought a classic car that needed restored for 600 dollars, the car was shipped from another state and the guy I bought it from told me he had to send for lost title.. I restored the can and invested 6500 dollars and the guy I bought it from vanished... Needless to say after tons of investigating the car had a lien from his state... Do I have any chance of seeing a title.. the lien is almost 10000 and the car was worth about 800 when I bought it

How could your "tons of investigating" have revealed that the certificate of title showed a lien holder without examining the title document?

Maybe a half ton of investigating prior to the supposed purchase would have been more timely.

Are you prone to investing large amounts in property that you don't own? If so, I suggest that you break the habit.
