Bought a fish tank from someone on the internet

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? IL

On some pet websites a met a gentleman that was selling his 275 gallon fish tank for 1500.00. After I got it home I realized it was way too big and I did contact him the next morning asking if I could return it to him. Of course he said no. I'm sure I'm probably stuck here but I figured I ask. Thanks
