We bought a house from a company that we found out did not own it. We are supposed to make settlement oh the 15th of June. We are first time home buyers and have given our notice to our landlord. We have had the home inspections and have obtained insurance and changed utilities and our address. Now we find out that without a clear title we won't be able to settle. We have 3 children and no place to live in 6 days. What can we do?

Contact the landlord to see if you can stay.
Are you using a Realtor and escrow. As soon as an offer is in, you are supposed to get a title report. This would show who the legal owner of record is.
