What is the name of your state? OR

Bought jerseys for my nephew at a garage sale...but he didn't want them so I put them on ebay to get rid of them.

They said they were fake and freezed my account.

I get a letter saying pay adidas $500 from a law firm in NY and fill out a form...what about the NBA logo too...will I have to pay them..the team...who else..

Should I cut a check...or wait until a lawsuit...

Did you list them as Authentic Jersey's on ebay?

You may need to contact a lawyer and I wouldn't send anyone any checks until you figure out your facts about the Trademark / Copyright laws.

Technically if you were trying to profit off of Fake Team merchandise that is a serious ordeal.

It's like selling fake merchandise on a street corner.

There just trying to scare you. Dont respond to the letter. They send those type of letters to everybody on Ebay, Just ignore it.

I got the same type of letter from a brand name clothing source, and the funny thing is that I did not even have a picture in my auction nor did I get a chance to sell the clothing so I was wondering how do they know its fake??LOL

Don't send money to an attorney without a court order. To my understanding, as someone who's been ripped off and received fake goods (very old currency - you'd think selling fake old money might be a serious crime), a lawsuit would have to be filed in the jurisdiction of the seller, where the possible crime took place.

Offer a refund.
