I live in Michigan, and I bought a truck from someone. By no means am I mechanically inclined, and knowing that I tried getting people to help but no use. So I went, loved the truck. The told me this and that about it, it seemed good to me. he told me many of times it was a good truck, and safe to drive. Well I took it to a licensed mechanic / dealer and within 2 minutes found many things to consider it unsafe. He has a list of things he had to fix to bring it up to par. The last thing he did was taken it to get a front end alignment done. They wouldn't touch it. The frame was damaged and rusted out on so many spots, and to fix was well more then what id paid for it.

Sorry for the long story, but is there anyway I'd be able to go after him for knowingly selling me an unsafe truck? The seat he changed out, but had them screwed in, with drywall screws. Im overly mad at myself for this, but hard lesson learned but is that all I can do, Learn a lesson?

Ideally you would have taken it to a mechanic before the sale.

As it is, you get to enjoy your truck.

Sorry.
