What is the name of your state? Alabama
I am currently in dispute with a relative in regards to a boundary line dispute. The East boundary of my relatives property is the West boundary of my property. The dispute exists as to the true location of the boundary between his property and my property, and my relative claims the true location of the boundary line.
My relative has unsuccessfully attempted to have me to move my house. The house was built in the early 80s and have been on the property for over 20 years. In additon I have been paying the property taxes for the property during this period. It was not until 2000 my relative requested me to eject the house because he believes the house was built across his property line. He recently offered to pay to have the house moved but I am confident I am not at fault and should not have to move the house.
What should I do to reslove this issue? Am I covered under the Adverse Possession Law under the State of Alabama.
