My boyfriend is charge with possession with the intent to distribute, conspiracy, and 3 other drug related charges. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison on a plea bargain. He was sentenced under the 85% rule law. So he is looking at doing about 13 1/2 years of his time. He has did 3 full years already. He hasn't gotten in any trouble. Is there anything he can do to maybe reduce his sentencing? Do you think if he goes back to court and get a few of those charges reduced will it help? Do you think the DA will give him any recommendations? Is there anything he can do?

Aside from parole I don't think there's much hope at trying to get the DA to re-open the sentencing at this late date. The best time to negotiate sentences is BEFORE pleading guilty. You can read the section on parole at this website's section under criminal law.
