My boyfriend has been divorced for a year, and legally separated for a year before that. He has been seeing a therapist to deal with the stress of this divorce. His ex-wife has been contacting his therapist, leaving messages about how crazy he is and that he has personality disorders of one sort or another. His therapist does not believe that he has a personality disorder of any kind. We are concerned that she is trying to discredit my boyfriend in order to gain full custody of their two children. They currently share custody (50/50) and he is a wonderful, stable father. She just wants full custody so that he will give her more money. She has contacted several other people in our community, as well as my boyfriend's family and friends, spreading false information and trying to convince that that he is "crazy". She has done this verbally and in writing. What recourse does my boyfriend have? How can he protect himself? What evidence is needed to prove that she is doing this?
