Hello everyone. I ordered a computer from a nationally televised computer vendor in December 1999. On the show the 2 hosts said that when a computer package is purchased from them, all the parts won't come together but they will arrive in 3-5 weeks after the order. Well, I purchased a computer bundle (printer, scanner, e.t.c) from them and instead of getting the products in 3-5 weeks, I started to receive them months after the date. They didn't send me two of the accessories that came with the bundle (camera and speakers). I had to call them in April 2000 and tell their customer service about it. The guy said that he'd have the last 2 products shipped as soon as possible. They only sent the camera. I didn't want to act like a pest and keep calling them so I just waited and waited to see if they'd send the speakers but they never did until last week (Friday - 16 of February 2001) when I called and had to yell at their customer service about it. I wanted to talk to their manager, but they kept lying saying the manager was eating or on the phone. They kept me waiting for over 3 hours that day (very stressful) tossing me back and forth from one customer service representative to the other when I really wanted to speak to the manager. When I finally got to talk to the manager, she was so sarcastic and whatever-i-say-is-right-and-i-could-care-less-about-what-you-say like. I told her what happened and all she could say was "It was overlooked" and "Sorry on behalf of our compnay". It was all said so nonchalantly. :( I told her that sorry wasn't eniough, that I hadn't received the product and it had been over a year passed their "3-5 weeks shipping" policy /message on tv. All she said was that shes sorry on behalf of the company (repeated herself) and that she can ship it out ASAP. :( I told her that I would like to get a refund of what I've paid and still keep the computer. She said what I proposed was "impossible" or ludicrous or something within that range. So I then got angry and said, "Ok, then see you in court!". She said fine. I've looked through the yellow pages and called 13 lwyers/law firms in my area in the past few days and have been turned down. I wanna sue them but I don't know the process or anything. All I know is that I wasn't treated fairly as a consumer and it looks as if the company has commited a sort of breech of contract towards me and false advertising because the "3-5 weeks delivery" was also displayed on tv. The show/company still exists and still is in service to this day and they are selling the same speakers to people that i never got till over a year after (last week) on their show. Its the Video Computer Store. http://www.vcstore.com/ :( Its not fair. Help please. Bye,

I am a law school graduate. What I offer is mere information, not to be construed as forming an attorney client relationship.

They turned it down because the money is not worth their time. I.e. amount you are talking about. You can try to bring this action in small claims and see if that would work. Go to state law center, and start with small claims. If that doesn't work, go to state courts.
