Pennsylvania Law- Statute of Limitations on filing for Breach of Contract. I'm a self-employed plumbing and heating conractor. I entered into a oral contract in Oct 96 and was removed off the job to do other projects by the consumer. I haven't been paid in full for completed additional projects, nor have I been paid in full for the original job. On Nov 3 2000 I was served with papers that suit was filed for breach of contract. I,ve received nasty letters in the past demanding I complete the original contract and I ask for payment. Stalemate. Now I,m supposed to give them $10,000.00 plus court cost etc. I first turned part of this over to my insurance Co. They said she has no claim for damages.(there are damage claims also). They also said there's a 4 year statute of limitations from date of contract to sue for breach of contract in Pennsylvania. Is this true and if so, will material invoices for the material delivered prove a date of contract?
