What is the name of your state? CA

I purchased a high-end toilet two years ago. In Sept of last year, I discovered a crack in the siphon area. This was reported to a technician from the manufacturer. He advised me that the toilet has a five year warranty and to file a claim through their Rep. All information was submitted in mid Sept. After follow-ups every two weeks, on Jan 18th, the Rep said they are no longer representing the manufacturer. I need to contact the manufacturer myself. Between Jan 18th to Feb 26, two emails and five voice mails left with the manufacturer customer service department, only once did I get to talk to someone who promised to check on the status.
I am ready to file a breach of warranty in small claims in CA. Should I:
1. File against the manufacturer rep because he is in CA. Even thought, he no longer works with the manufacturer but the claim should have been resolved during the 4 months after the submission.
2. File against the manufacturer, they are out of state. Does CA small claims court have jurisdiction with out of state company since they are selling their product in CA?What is the name of your state?
