What is the name of your state? Virginia

Last year I signed an offer letter and took a position with my current employer as an at-will employee. Included in the offer letter was a clause for bonus pay for shift work. Recently my employer notified me that the company was terminating bonus pay for working particular shifts, preferring to pay capped overtime instead. I was given the option to sign a new offer letter or terminate employment and return home. Is that legal? Secondly, as part of the job, I was sent overseas. The compay also stated that by not signing the letter and therefore terminating employment, they are not obligated to pay for my transportation back to the U.S. nor would they pay for shipment of my vehicle. Is this true? Thanks.

There's no breach because there's no contract. Your employment was clearly "at will." I do think springing this on you while you're overseas with the threat to leave you stranded if you refuse to the new terms is shabby but it's not illegal.
